An unusual and interesting piece. Red Cedar knot bowl on Barron River Hardwood and stainless steel. The Barron River is one of the major rivers that flows through the mountains of the Atherton Tablelands and down to the coast at Cairns, in far north Queensland. The "Barron river hardwood" has been called this as it was a piece of timber retrieved from the river that has become hard and unrecognisable for its species over the years submerged. 50cm long, 14cm high and 18cm wide
